AXE shooting all over the place +/- 20 or more at times

Stock axe. Worked flawless for a month or more, bought it used but still basically new, only a case through it when i got it. Then on the second day of Decay of Nations, Sunday, it started having issues. shooting +/- 20 or more.

Same thing happend on the 20th. Changed the battery to new, replaced every o-ring the gun has. Had a tech look at it as well. Had a team mate tear it apart and re-check. same issue.

Several different tanks on the gun and it still shoots +/- 10 - 15.

Tried the stock bolt, tried the XSV bolt...im stumpped. So is everyone else.

Oil was dropped in the ASA just to see if that cleared it up....somewhat, but i was still getting +/- 7 -10 on the chrono.

Board?
replace ASA?

Stock barrel? Were you overboring? What kind of paint were you shooting through it.

I would contact Kee, its possible the timer IC chip in your noid and/or board is malfunctioning. Thats the only other thing i could think of if all your settings are proper.

Have you looked at the ASA as the culprit? I'd swap one off of a mini or axe and see if that leads to aore consistent shot.

Pondered that too. When i switched out to another tank, it did get somewhat better, but not completely.

Through the process of elimination, we got it down to three possible problems but not in any order.

1. The Reg on the tank, which is a new ninja reg
2. Board
3. ASA

I'm bumping the ASA to the top of the list. I'm guessing the Ninja regulator is good since it's new and unless it's a Optimus board, I think it should be ok.

Prolly just need to break in the Asa.

I haven't heard of a board causing inconsistency, my axe is rarely inside of -+10/15 I normally see shots in the 270's and 290's while chronoing, maybe it's my board since I've tried 2 tanks and two different Asa's. I still think mine just has to break in

.688 is a hefty overbore anymore isn't it? See if you can try out someones maybe .680-.682 and see if that helps as well.

Thank you all for the replies. I didnt dig into this further last night. I think the gun is broken in quite well. I have probably put 10k rounds through it at least.

I think i will start with the simpler of the fixes and try the known good working board from another Axe and test with two seperate tanks to see if i get the same results as before.

If i dont see any change, then i will pretty much narrow it down to ASA. still quite possibly the noid, but who knows.

Would swapping out the ASA be the second piece to replace or go straight to the noid?

It's very possible, especially if you had the XSV bolt in it. One thing you gotta watch out for is that with the aftermarket bolts and having that lower OP will do funky things. Honestly before you go swapping out internal parts, try it back with the XSV bolt and underbored at like .675-.682, whatever barrel size in there you can get.

XSV bolt or stock it was still doing the same. you would think you could see a difference one way or the other.

I decided to go everything back to stock, minus the barrel to see if i can get it to straighten itself out. back to basics.

But regardless, the .688 barrel had zero issues before decay of nations. the entire system, no XSV bolt mind you, shot money day and night.

the more i am digging around in the threads the more i am looking at the noid, that it could be dirty inside. Decay was very dusty and i was rolling around in the dirt some.

lots to do...and soo little time
