Played since 2000 and have always used impulse threads.

You patronize it by calling it ion threads. Why not call them luxe threads seeing as its the gun still manufactured to fit the specific thread.

The distance between the feedneck and front barrel port is now doubled by choosing cocker threads. Figured you would have gone with the shorter lighter body.

You used all the IP from the 09 impulse except the threading, a terrible decision.

Not exactly sure what you mean here. They chose to go with the industry standard thread. Pretty easy choice really. Now you can argue that the industry standard should have become Imp, Ion, Luxe (whatever term you like) thread. And honestly there are probably a lot of people that would agree. But there was no way Smart parts would let that happen. Things evolved the way they did. Pretty sure nobody is willing to change the standard now.

I'm saying, you make the new impulse, impulse threaded. Not Cocker threaded.

It would have even looked better, and less like an ego. Like people have said what it looks like.

It's the reason why people are saying they took a step back from the 09. Cause you went with the standard! Instead of pushing the standard like the 09 did.

Apologies, what I mean was Impulse, NXT Shocker (RL Shocker, Dynasty Shocker, Strange NXT Shocker), EOS, Epiphany, Ion, Ion XE, Luxe, Nerve, PIMP, SP-1, SP-8, and Vibe Threading.

I don't think most people think it took a step back because of the barrel threading. I most of the people that feel that because of the macro line. Here is probably the reason that it is cocker threaded. KEE is not going to change the threading of their barrel kits, be it the Super freak or Sniper.

They don't make impulse threaded super freaks?

Look guys I'm not looking for an argument. None of our opinions are wrong. But I think we can all agree, something is a lil ****ed here. And if you don't think it's a lil ****ed, you'll be surprised next year when you see ytd sales and compare them to the pre-release, pre-extravaganza expectations.

Going back to the macro line isn't a step back from the 09. Air integration isn't always the best, the 09 was weighed down in the back significantly, due to the two regs in the grip. And I looked forward to a more balanced marker. However going with cocker threads on an impulse, I thought I would never see the day.

No, they don't make super freak in Impulse threads. And I do agree with you about the regs and balance. And this system will be more reliable.

I like my guns like I like my girls... Back heavy

my one complaint so far is that it doesn't have a rechargeable battery, and I'll stand on that soap box forever. I love rechargeable batteries. I hate spending extra money on 9volts when I could just charge my gun in my backpack at a coffee shop. (See what I did there? I avoided the argument that I'll spend money charging it!)

but Smart Parts didn't create the 9volt or the rechargeable battery!

Therefore I can whole heatedly say that the standard should change! The Gardners won't be suing anyone if it did!

Rechargables are nice but have draw backs as well. Mostly do to the fact, paintballers tend to suck at being prepared. I can't tell you how many times I have been handed a gun that did not work and asked to fix it and it was just a weak battery. Yes I have had players on my team scramble looking for a place to plug in their Luxe 15 minutes before a match.

I'm not willing to support a platform that doesn't stay true to the values of what they are making.

I'm not saying I wouldn't shoot one. I just won't be purchasing, which is a shame because I have money ready for more than one. I'd rather purchase 2 maybe even 3 09 impulse's before I coughed up the money for one of these.

Those are probably the same guys who rely on you to make sure their **** works in the first place Ross.

I liked how angels had the car charger.. Plug that **** in on your drive to the field.. unless you live down the road and could segway there it's charged by the time you arrive.

Ideally the luxe would have both a car charger and a wall charger, and all guns would follow suite.

Perhaps the ideal solution would be to have a rechargeable like the 09/luxe but able to use 9volts for the idiots in the paintball world. While the guys like me laugh at them buying $5 9volts at the event.

That would be the best of both worlds.
