okay so im stuck between getting an upped ion with virtue fire bolt sling trigger and freak barrel or a stock g4 what do you guys think ive been hearing some ppl saying to never get an ion then some ppl say dont get the g4

If the ion was an XE and also had a virtue board, then i'd say the Ion...but in this instance, the G4 is easier to work on, lighter, have a better board, better feedneck, ASA and so on.


If this was a fully upped Ion XE with board, trigger, feedneck, on/off ASA, barrel, reg, and bolt.... Then i'd take the Ion without question.

Depends on how much you can get the ion for... if they are the same price then I'd go with the G4. The G4 has a company around to back it and it's easy to locate parts/upgrades.

G4 vs. the new ion (eXtacy) is a tough choice. but against the older version, Id say G4 all the way.
