2k2 timmy aftermarket bolt question

Hello, I was just wondering if there's any relevant differences between the stock bolt and aftermarket stuff for 2k2 timmies. Recently I read somewhere that the stock bolt is essentially the best (might just be someone's opinion), but when I bought my timmy it came with both the stock bolt and what I believe to be an orange bolt.

Do I have any reason to use one above the other?

Cheers.

I prefer the stock bolt in the 2k2/Long bolt intimidators.
Carbon fiber bolts are alright but they tend to crack with time and they may lighten the ram/bolt combination in extreme cases. Like if you use an eigen ram or any other lighter ram and lighter poppet spring, having a lighter bolt may cause you to chrono low and not be able to get up to velocity.
As it stands with upgrades right now having a lighter ram/spring is much more beneficial then just having a lighter bolt. Before those ram upgrades having a lighter bolt helped a little bit but nothing to merit the price in most cases.

Those are the 2 rams it came with. One of them would need a bumper and the other one apparently has this brown/orange-ish rubbery pad at the end. Are they both stock? :o

They both feel pretty heavy for their size either way.

Yes, they both appear to be the stock rams.
What kind of ram cap does your 2k2 have? Does it have a brass post coming out of it or a rubber bumper on it with a hole?

This is it, all I know is that it's adjustable but I haven't tinkered with it. It's still adjusted the same way it was when I picked it up.

Those both look like stock rams but it appears that someone took the urehane bumper off a shocktech ram and stuck it on the one on the left. I remember ST rams being longer on the back end.

Use the ram with the bumper on it. That's a 2k2 ram cap and you don't want to use a ram without a bumper on it.
