I know how to skate-ish. I'll be doing it more once I get back up north. I went skating for the first time since December, skating outdoors is such a better experience.

Yeah I know how that road goes. Know way too many people who did the same. **** I almost went that route too. It is fun while it lasts though. I had a couple offers, my parents probably have my letters around the house somewhere. I remember being proud to get a look with the Des Moines and a couple others.
Did you play in Chicago when you were younger? Assuming you played AAA too then? I'm an '89, played AAA from like 4/5th through 8th, then decided to play for my HS team since we were pretty damn good (Took out TI's MM team).

Go to the ST:Sports page, find the old thread. Click on the post count (2,005 I believe) and it will bring it up.

Yep, I was on their radar when I was younger, and then got another look when I played in the Chicago Showcase. Never anything incredibly positive, but getting a look was nice, considering it was the USHL.

That's awesome, I could've watched you O.o
Those games were always fun to go to, it was practically guaranteed a fight would break out every game. Sometimes line brawls would happen and the goalies would go at it too. Back when I was about 6, my mom let me do this 2 day hockey camp thing that the Bucs players hosted, so I got to learn a ton of skills from it. Always loved the game, never got a chance to play as a kid.

Ha, I never played for them. Never even got close, just looked at.
On a side note, the old (or it may be new, can't remember) Buccs Stadium so weird/old.
Also, where is the post count? I don't see it under thread tools or anything like that.

Yeah, Never had USHL offers, I had a **** ton of NAHL invites, but its hard to figure out which teams are actually intersted and which just want your money at tryout camp. I actually got a contract offer from Kenai River, but they already had 14 forwards signed and I diddnt wanna live in Alaska and potentially ride the pine pony.
Yeah I was in Chicago but my parents would never pay for me to play AAA. I played one year in 5th grade I think, they diddnt think it was worth all the extra money, so i just had to play travel for club teams. Where did u play highschool?

Played for Fenwick all four years, right up near the end of our run of raping every team in the state with the exception of NTG.
Where'd you play club? I played CSDHL with the Huskies for a long *** time.

Yeah, played with Cam and knew Aidan. Cam was my linemate on defense.
Haven't talked to either of them in years though. Last I knew, Aidan was playing juniors or something, and Cam gave up hockey because he's a pretty damn good pitcher.
Small world huh?

Yeah, Cam was a really good pitcher, or something, cause I was surprised when I heard he was hanging em up to pitch, but a scholarship is a scholarship.
Can't say a bad thing about either of them. Wish Aidan was a bit older, he would have definitely added some scoring touch to the team we had my senior year, and Cam and I pretty much played non-stop on the back end. Good guys, nice family.

Doubtful.
You'd need an army of Stammers or Kovalchuks for that task obviously.
