Closer LPR ????
OK, just got a Closer in a trade deal...I've already got 2 Vices but I kinda like the feel "and look" of the Closer and might end up keeping it around for awhile...My question is about the LPR in it, I searched and didn't find the answer, looked through the Sticky section and links/videos are either dead or broken.....
How do you service the LPR in it??? It's easy to get to in the Vice, getting to it in the Rapper has me scratching my head...I'd like to grease it before I start tuning on the gun, taking the SC Engine out is no problem but the LPR has me baffled...Also, on the adjustment, I know where the slot is in the frame to get to it BUT from looking at it I don't see much in the way of a true adjustment point inside the slot....What am I looking for in there???

The frame has to be removed to access the LPR. It's is held to the body with a few screws. Be careful not to lose the ball bearings when you remove the LPR from the body.
And I bet you'll be keeping the Closer longer than ya think.

The lpr is extremely easy to service.
Disconnect your air lines and wires from the board then remove the frame, guiding the wires through.
Remove the four screws holding the lpr in place and pull off the house.
Next carefully and slowly unscrew the brass adjustment nut/head/wheel which will reveal the spring and innards of the lpr.
Use a pair of needle nose and pull the piston out. Wipe down and relube with dow 55, clean out the inside of the lpr body with a qtip and put it all back together.
When you put the nut/head/wheel back on, I would go about flush or a little above that so I wasn't pressuring the lpr. Just in case you were to go to reset your regs and you have the lpr over pressurized from the get go.
Then just carefully reassemble the marker after that, then use a tester to reset your pressures.

Thanks man, read through the Bob Long section, the guy really likes to be a hardass and yell at everyone to read the sticky/manual section...Even if half the stickies don't work on here anymore.

Maintaining the lpr is virtually identical in the Victory manual with the exception of the mounting points of the screws and lacking an adjustment assembly.
If you want something more like the gen 1 marq disassembly then use the M-Tac manual, page 13. The M-tac uses the same style of lpr as other gen 1 marqs.
It's pretty much laid out for you like how I described as well. Very straight forward.

He's not being a smartass...
