Basic Upgrades

Just got a Project Salvo and was wondering what some basic needed upgrades were or some things that just make it look BA.

There's really nothing needed and if you want it to look BA then your the only one that can decide what to put on it because your version of BA might be different then mine or someone else's. I think a tactical snickers bar and cup holders would be pretty BA. Off the top of my head I'm thinking foregrips and lasers and flashlights and anything milsimish. If I were you I'd leave the external stock maybe add a foregrip. I owned a project salvo and I thought it looked pretty cool just the way it was

Don't upgrade a Tippmann. Ever.

Having said that, the Snickers idea sounds Tacti-licious.

Worst advice ever. Total gear snobbery.

Leads to a constant money suck of buying more and more "high end" gear until you're refusing to play because you haven't saved up for that $1600+ gun yet.

Plus leads to looking down on those who haven't also spent as much as you.

Use you gun, find something you don't like about it, find something to fix or improve that thing you don't like about it. That's all there is to it. Repeat as needed.

I would say a new barrel is a good place to start, all of my friends who play with tippmanns did that first. It's not necessarily a gun upgrade but if you aren't using hpa yet, that's a good move.
Good luck.

That. Don't buy upgrades sight unseen. Use the gun first and figure out the shortfalls before blowing your money on upgrades that may not actually be useful to you.

I would recommend getting a compressed air tank if you do not have that already. That will make more of a difference in gun performance than almost anything else because it is much more consistent than CO2 and you can also keep the tank to use on future guns (should you eventually decide to pick up a new gun). That + good paint will improve your performance a lot more than almost any other upgrade.

HPA, e-trigger, cyclone, remote line, and barrel. Personal I like the Apex 2 on my X7. And to the guy a few post above "don't upgrade a Tippmann", I have a modded 98custom the I play speedball with and I've played against Mr. H from HK Army, some players from SD Dynasty, X-factor and it holds it's own. Center-fed w/ a rotor, cp barrel, APE rampage board, techT fang trigger and zero kick hammer and bolt. I love ramping with my 98c. Its so funny how mad people get when I merk them with a 98c lol.

By making it look "BA" I assume you mean making it look like a real gun. My advice, don't do that. I used to want my 98 Custom to look just like a real gun, so I spent all the money and got all the plastic add-ons and you know what it did? Made it weigh more and become a bigger target. I used to for maybe a month, and then put it on eBay and got a speedball marker. Honestly, I would say skip the upgrades and just get a better marker. To name a few, a Mini, g4, PMR, or Etek would be a great marker. Not too expensive, but reliable and shoot great.

THAT. Always use your markers first and get the feel of it. Exactly what he pointed out, upgrading Tippmanns are a great thing to do to your specs of woodballing (thats what I'm assuming your doing), after all if you really think about it they are great markers for the price and reliability....

Try watching some of Borg's videos on Youtube. You can make a lot of your own stuff. That being said, I still think the tactical Snickers would be the best thing ever.

Whatever you upgrade on it will most likely just be for the looks, and not performance wise (except maybe a new barrel) so it's totally up to you what you think looks BA
