Yes. It is. Rubber feels better on your hand than metal. It SHOULD give a better gripping surface too, but I've found more often they become oily with paint and are harder to wipe clean.

I really think on this gun your index finger will be wrapped around the front of the middle tube and the macroline won't be in the way at all. Positioning your hands closer to the bore axis should reduce felt recoil while also making the marker point better.

Cost more to mill the frame like they did, hence higher price. It will be 1349 same as geo3

Im not to sure ont hat placment of the line, I understand that PE wanted the ability to tech the gun with it apart? Im not sure how much that actually happends, in my what...4 guns that have had no macro I never had to do that. But to each his own.

maybe run the air as is, with the exception of the channel going back up the trigger guard and into the top of the reg? and color the rubber contact pads, like dye. Then i think its an instant winner. But its just my opinion. Im sure sales wont suffer.
Agree with you Fetus. I still think it doesn't hold the same prettyness of the last iteration of Egos but it has grown on me.

I agree on running the internal air line up the trigger guard as more aesthetically pleasing, but I'm sure Jack has it designed that way for a reason.

I've been going over the cutaway for a little while now and the valve is definitely interesting. I'm impressed! I want to get my hands on one and see what it is like. I'm digging what Lurker has to say about it as well.

Do you think that they thought that they were making an unappealing looking gun? I doubt lets just **** with everybody was running through their heads. Lots of people don't like the looks but there are ones that do. PE can't please everyone as is correct with other companies.

Id love to see how PE backtracks on their "We will never make a macroless marker" hype. BTW, did a 10 year old design this gun? Its hideous.

Exactly why Jack never wanted to go macroless because it makes diagnosing leaks and teching guns a lot harder.

Well, it just seems that's the general consensus. That line will be right between your fingers and will make it awkward when you're holding it. Oh, and we need a vid of you flipping out now.

They didn't say they would never go away from macro less. They said they would not do macro less unless they could make it possible to tech the gun with the frame off

Its like putting putting lipstick on a pig, if they are gonna do it, do it right. Sorry but I dont see any innovation here. Just my .02.

I dont get it anyway, the noid wires will only stretch so far. You wont be able to remove the frame from the marker completely for teching. PE made their markers so bare over the years that adding metal to the gun would have been a step back in going truely macroless. As for a gun being harder to tech because its macroless, well thats just stupid. I wont open a can of worms here about macro vs macroless but thats a fact. There are to many macroless guns out there that just plain work, week in and week out.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
