The latest I read from Jack Wood was a "never say never" type response.

If its macroless, I am going to buy one.

Why do you want macroless? Internal leaks are such a pain in the ***, making you take the grip screws off, grip frame off, wires out, and finding the problem.

I hope PE stays Macro forever. Ease of maintenance has always been a keystone to PE's success.

You know what this threads about now.

I've owned 3 macroless guns, never had any leaks. Granted I've had more guns with macroline, I've experienced more problems with macroline itself..

Macroless is so overrated. I'd prefer macro any day.

Not trying to make this whole thread about it now. I'm assuming you own a Macdev, but I have no experience with them, so I can;t really say much about their macro-less system (I'm assuming it's not much different then others).

It's just where the threads headed, macroless and hybrid poppet/spool guns are the newest advancement that people will speculate on.

I mean, I just like that I can take my grip frame off my geo and dont have to worry about 3 o-rings falling out, or sitting correctly in place when I'm cleaning it. Same thing goes for when I had my Ego10's. They might be he most solid gun out there, besides ego7's of course

...cool? Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it just doesn't happen at all.

You're somewhat right, he said he wouldn't do it until he can reliably diagnose leaks with the frame off. So it is possible that there will be a macro-less Ego, but not until it's done right.

Why do you have to take the grip frame off to clean a gun..?

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
