I was told by one of the ninja techs here to remove all the shims in the pro2 reg and you will be fine. I just my 77SL tank took all the shims out and it was great no problems

I'm a new SL pro v2 owner.

To adjust the position on this SL tank, would I just loosen the screw on the silver part of the ring to be able to rotate it?

Do I need to have the tank empty to adjust the position or is it ok to do it with air in the tank?

Yes, the grub screws on the silver collar.

MAKE SURE YOUR TANK IS EMPTY WHEN WORKING ON THE REG / ROTATING THE REG.

Just to stress that

i just picked up a dura77 with a pro (v1) reg. right now it has all the shims removed but i have a red shim from my other tank (68/45 grey ghost with standard adjustable reg) that i was hoping to use with the pro to bump up the pressure slightly. can i use this shim or no?

Thanks for responding, I seriously thought it meant degas the marker. I didn't understand till you explained its the tank that needs to be degas till empty then safe to adjust. You saved my life bro! But seriously thanks.

@Ninja

After flipping the ASA lever off on my Vanquish it begins to purge air. It continues to do so until I unscrew the tank completely off or flip lever back on. This is with a new SL tank and V2 reg.

Reg Removal

I recently got a G6R that came with a 50/4500 slp ninja tank and wanted to switch the reg onto my 68/4500 Hk tank. Is this possible and if so how is it done?

I really don't mean to say this and be taken the wrong way, it is just for your safety....

If you have to ask how to remove the regulator from your bottle and put it on a different bottle, you should really take it to your local pro-shop to do it to ensure nothing gets damaged or any accidents can happen.

If you are adamant about doing it yourself...

1. Ensure all air is out of your bottles by using an alan key to press the pin (never use your fingers!).
2. Ensure ALL AIR IS OUT OF YOUR BOTTLES.
3. If the regulator doesn't screw off by hand (they are torqued at factory), then you'll need a strap wrench to get it off. I had a custom reg removal tool made so I can clamp it down and just turn the bottle.
4. If it still won't come off, then you may need to soak the whole bottle inc regulator in boiling water for 5-10mins to weaken any sealant on it, then strap wrench it again.
5. Once it is off, check the threads are all fine - maybe replace the oring on the bottle side of the reg if it looks damaged NO LUBE OR OIL.
6. Swap bottles and slowly screw the reg back on making sure not to cross thread it. Torque the reg on (you can hand tighten it, if you plan to fly with it - but take care when unscrewing the tank when pressure is low).

It's not hard but it is best to get someone to either show you or do it for you if you don't feel comfortable.

BUT, and I stress this, if you can get someone who is an airsmith to do it for you - I cannot be accountable if you damage your bottle, regs or self/others.

I have an old Ninja remote with slide check. If I purchase a new microbore remote in its most basic version w/o slide check can I swap the old slide check out into the new microbore remote on my own?

Go with the proV2 reg best of both worlds lightest tank on the market and newest reg as well from a great company.
Once you get the tank remove all the shims because it will be easier to gas up the gun since there is a ball bearing (more surface area to push down on)

What size oring in a PTC remote line system mates with the male asa adapter? I have a leak when there is minimum side to side motion.

The PRO V2 will be able to be set at 550 psi for the LV1 and will allow you to rotate the reg so the fill nipple doesn't dig into your wrist. Otherwise both will work fine with that marker.

They are both 1/8th NPT ported so they will be able to be swapped out

I just saw a post from a guy here in Canada saying he is getting a SL tank with a TC stamp??? I am 99% sure he's wrong, but I just wanted to confirm and possible get an update on where this is at this point. I know its passed and last I heard was waiting on the go ahead from Canadian Gov.

Is it normal for a completely empty tank to rattle in the reg area?

I believe so that's the pin in the fill nipple once there is air you won't have that problem

Still waiting on the Canadian Government, no SL tanks with TC have ever been made.

Perfectly normal, that is just the strut in the fill nipple moving back and forth, you will not hear that once the tank is filled.
