if you dont want any of that crap go to planet fitness but that place is a ****hole and hate it. yea its cool that they want to create an environment that is not threatening but jesus christ it is over the top. i got *****ed out for letting out a minor grunt on the last rep of a rep max and it is really unfriendly to people real serious about weight training

honestly ive never been to a place where people are super douchey outside a college gym. ive worked out at some world class powerlifting/body building gyms too. sure it is intimating to be around jacked *** dudes but 99% of the time they would be eager to help you if you have a question.

just do your own thing, don't be afraid to ask for help and advice and you will be fine. im always willing to help someone out if they want it.

BTW: Happy birthday Steve Irwin. Personal hero of mine and I have a ton of respect for the work he did.

Planet Fitness is a genius business plan. They open a cheap gym that encourages you to not strive for progress, then they feed you donuts and pizza. I've been to PF one time and I'm never going again. I'm not as strong as you or Joe or Pete but 65lb dumbbells max really isnt going to come close to cutting it.

I learned a long time ago. If you suck at anything surround yourself with the best people you can at that particular thing. With hard work it's almost impossible to not get better. Humans really respond to competition in amazing ways.

The problem aren't people who have no idea what they are doing and ask for help, its people who don't know what they are doing but act like they are the ****.

Yeah in highschool I worked out at the airforce base my parents work at because it was free. It was intimidating since i was even more scrawny than I am now but everyone was chill as **** and showed me alot. I just think college kids annoy me in general at the gym lol. Between sitting on the bench and texting for 5 mins or standing/sitting around talking on the most used machines and benches aggravates the **** outta me.

Meh, being outside isn't for me. If it's too warm and there are bugs out and I start sweating I will get panic attacks. When I was at ND I used to use the indoor track though. Now I mostly just do light lifting.

I cancelled my planet fitness membership after the sounded that alarm thing, because I was "breathing too loud" on the treadmill.

Well your condition creates a problem. Other people need to get outside sweat, get a little dirty and exposed to the sun.

I'm not complaining about new people, I'm complaining about morons.

There used to be some guy that always went the same as me. He did the hammer strength bench machine with like 380 on in and moved the weighed no more than 3 inches any rep. I wonder if it occurs to him this is why he makes no progress?

We start beating that Big 10 *** against Indiana and they want to postpone the game due to fog. Scrubs.

I was going to go to our game against FAU, but it's going to be raining on and off all night.

No, he was drafted in the first by the Brewers in 2012. He out-homered some TEAMS that year. If I remember right, that was the first year with the weak bats, right?

Yea. He was a sexual tyrannosaurus. He played with GSU at the regional in Columbia that year. Hit 3 very long, loud outs to dead center.

By the way, you guys picked a bad day of the week to have that meat discussion. Now I'm craving BBQ and it's a damn Friday.

I loved the run around the lakes. Beautiful and the lake and trees keep it cool when it's hot.
