Denard took the team through the darkest few years in the history of the program. He will never get any respect for that outside the Michigan fanbase, which is why I hope he goes to a good team and kills it in the NFL.

Pat Whites Awards and broken records >> Denard Robinsons awards and broken records

We didn't get an NCAA cover and he had a more successful career.

Lacey or Swope gets it.

Bama just had the cover two years ago... It'd be an awesome thing for Shoelace to win it. Just honoring the career (albeit not the best by any means, but dynamic and versatile absolutely) of one of the most influential players in college football.

He set more Michigan, B1G, and college football records than you can count.

Pay the man. Put him on the cover. Us northerners must stick together and Vote B1G, and not the SEC or PAC bastards.
This is pretty close to Tater level delusion.

i went to a private, catholic university where EVERYONE was exactly the same and listened to the same ****ty country, radio rock or quintessential college faglord music (dave mathews, OAR, etc). it was pretty terrible. i did find a few people that were into punk and metal but not many.

and denard is a great athlete but really nothing more. stop making him out to be some kind of god. he is fast and illusive and that is about it.

Denying that Shoelace had talent is just being ignorant. He wasn't the best passer by any means, and we all know that. But his agility and speed in open space was amazing.

He's a great player that doesn't get the credit he deserves because of people hating on his passing game, when he probably shouldn't have been a QB in the first place, but still threw for a ****load of yards and TDs.

He just had trouble throwing on the run, not getting his feet set, and giving away too many picks and jump balls.

Saying he didn't do anything to deserve a cover vote is just being blatantly ignorant.

It's more about attitude than anything. Kid had a smile on his face his whole career and I've never heard anyone have a bad encounter with him. With Rich Rod's bull****, it could have been a lot worse if Denard wasn't there the whole time.

I agree with this. The kid is a stand up guy and he pretty much all around embodies what it should mean to be a cover athlete.

How many of the people that you thought were going to be Vols (the ones that matter anyway) ... actually became Vols?

Denard is a terrible quarterback. He can't throw worth a damn, and that's kind of important when you're a quarterback. He's a great athlete, but a very limited player, and therefore not a great player.

We might sound dumb for promoting one of the most exciting players to ever wear maize and blue whereas... You just sound dumb all the time.

No?

He got hurt (nerve in his throwing arm elbow) in the Nebraska game. Michigan didn't put Garnder in either.

After that he played RB and Gardner took over the QB spot.

he as some talent but he has ability. there is a difference. if he had decent talent he could throw a damn ball within 10 yards of a receiver. he is a great athlete, he is NOT a great player

having a smile on your face does not get you anywhere if you suck. i could give 2 ****s about his attitude when he never won the BIG and got good stats against the worst BIG teams in the history of the conderence. he simply does not deserve the accolade of being on the cover of a game that represents the whole league when he is a mediocre college player

****, mike hart was more exciting to watch

I don't ever claim to have inside information. Everything I put comes from the UT Rivals, 247, Scout reporters or from the UT coaches Twitters.

speed is not talent. if you have a quarterback who can't make throws (pretty much the main job of that position) to win games, you don't have a good or talented player. besides, you guys lost every game that was against a team worth a damn with him.

I completely forgot about Denard this past season. He pretty much became irrelevant.
