Ok nation, I have had my valken v-max for quite some time now. I have used it on everything from a geo 3 to a luxe 2.0 to an azodin kaos pump. And not once have I had a problem. I have gotten it to keep up with 20 bps with no problems. But my favorite part about it is how great it is on my pump. It is probably one of pump play's greatest hidden treasures. I was just wondering why it always gets so much crap. Thanks

I was just kidding, never even used a vmax, however a friend had one and the spring that holds the lid down broke in his first slide with it, and it would run out of batteries really fast, and it's shape just looks wierd I'd rather have my rotor

Basically what everyone saying is that they aren't as good as the current BEST possible loaders.

They are good though. They absolutely obliterate the Halo's, Vlocity's, and Evolutions that everyone USED to have to run, back in the force fed dark ages.

Now people have come to expect a lot more from a hopper, and if it isn't as good as a prophecy or rotor, then on the internet it is considered "bad" even though its pretty darned good, and way better than the gear we were using 7 years ago.

I used one quite a bit this summer between my Fasta and my Spire and it kept up with 12.5 just fine, it even survived being thrown after I was lit up by my own idiot rental team that game while I walked into the deadbox.

I have had mine for almost a year. And have not exactly been gentle on it. So far it has not missed a beat. No problem keeping up with my Ego and works great on my CCM S6. Only issue is I have to take the batteries out when I am done for the day. I think there are some players that think a hopper that does not cost more than $150 is crap. More power to them.

That is one of the thinks that makes paintball fun. There is a very large variety of add-on parts at different prices for every marker. Pick the ones that make you happy. If a rotor makes you happy, great! Buy one and enjoy. If a V-max makes you happy, sweet. Buy one and enjoy.

But strictly based on being able to spit out paintballs from the bottom of it at 12.5 BPS, the v-max with do that all day long. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

The big thing with the vmax was the weak and loose gearbox that was manufactured with loose tolerances making the gears skip and strip. There were some detailed YouTube videos showing the problems and the fix for it. Not sure if they ever fixed the problem, but the guy who made the detailed videos on this site is banned now

Got one in trade, and it worked fine for 3 months until i traded it away. It did not feel as tough as my rotor. Never any real issues with it, but after hearing the breakage horror stories I worried about that.

I was probably a victim of public opinion but was relieved when it was gone!

I got one when it first came out. It was brand new with brand new batteries. It barely fed 10bps. I told the guys at Valken this and I sent it in. They said they fixed it, sent it back, and it was still horribly slow. After trying a few different brands of new batteries I sold it on ebay and got my Z2.

I won one at a scenario game, and used it as my backup all last season. The few times I used it, it never skipped a beat. It does eat batteries if I leave them in.

if i leave the batteries in mine after playing it will kill them by the next day. also i was getting inconsistant feeding so i took the feed paddles off my eggy and put them in the vmax (need to use vmax screw tho) and now its my favorite loader lol. feeds great, light, and it looks pretty good imo. just take out the batteries before you put it in your gearbag and if you want swap the feed paddles like i did and you should have an amazing loader. for about a fourth the price of a rotor........ cant beleve the rotor is 200$ it realy isnt worth that much.

I haven't used to v-max personally, but a kid on my team has one and he said he likes it. I'm not a fan of the shape though, it just looks weird to me.

A little heavy on battery use. Mine did work well when I had it. Problem at first was the cost. It is made of lower quality material than the rotor, but was close in price. Again when it first came out. The rotor has been an industry standard for a while now. So the price dropped. Then many started hearing about drive gears stripping. So the price dropped. Others joined the band wagon of haters, so the price dropped. Honestly, I heard of the gears stripping so many times I traded my Vmax off (too many hopper anyway). Mine never had and issue, but when the same compliant is heard over and over.

Side note. I heard nothing but bad things about DYE NT's chopping and such. I bought one cheap to try. Best marker ever used so I own 2 now!

I have had my Vmax for a while and no issues at all. I have owned my Rotor for one season and had 4 ball breaks in hopper. Vmax for the win...the soft fingers help greatly.

Last loader I had was a Rotor and I can't justify buying one for pump. No matter how awesome it was I can't do it.

The V Maxx is what I am thinking of getting. 10bps is fine with me as long as it feeds. The profile is pretty low, compared to other cheap electric loaders. Held one yesterday at the store. The guy there felt the same way, for machine gunning you may have an issue but pump should be GTG.

This. The ones that aren't defective work just fine. But there is FAR too high of a rate of defective ones. In the end, you're basically playing russian roulette to try to get one that will keep up with over 10 bps.

Also, very sad to see he got banned. Guess Valken couldn't handle someone pointing out what they did wrong and that he could fix it for $10.
