D1 and Challengers Division Clarification

We want to clarify that D1 teams are not being promoted into the Challenger Division based on their performance in Dallas. The teams moving into the Pro Challenger division will be by invite only. The PSP is already in talks with potential Challenger candidates for the 2013 season (the Challenger Division starts at the second event) and will announce the Challenger teams at a later date.

Please email Camille@pspevents.com with any questions or for team registration assistance. Thank you!

your point? its funny people sit on the side lines and talk crap about people stepping up. Last year, in Galveston i was ranked D5 based on my lack of Xball events. Our team was ridiculed on propaintball, yet we stuck it out, and learned a lot. Actually Won MAO and dropped to T1 in Quarters at cup. Dont hate on people for trying to better themselves, while your sitting in the stands wishing you were playing.

It's funny that the only people you normally see saying anything about a players rank or what division they play, are the ones that A. either don't play in any national events or B. Play in the lower divisions at national events. Yet, they always seem to be the first people to chime in about teams that shouldn't be considered D1 or Pro. This isn't always true but is more often than not.

Holy assumptions batman!
If you guys would like, you could read my post again to confirm none of these opinions were ever expressed.

And good luck to both of you and your teams. Both legit contenders for the Challengers division this year. Just staing that outright so you guys dont assume I assume any less of your teams specifically.......assume....

I never took it as a stab at us. I related a COMMON statement made by man. You just ignited the fire my point is tanking doesnt matter. Its based on a mumber of events played. You can play very event and place dead last, eventually your rank will go up.

If you place dead last every event, your rank will never go up.

I really don't take anything personally on here and I didn't assume you were talking to me or about my team. But, when you make statements like this

then your going to get a response. Statements like that really irritate me and there have been a plethora of them lately. My comment likewise was not specifically directed at you. It was more of a generalized statement.

yea should be much better now for the teams at the bottom every event.

but getting back to that D3 aka D1 team comment, I dont think he meant anything other then the players, wether they are trying to step up or not, trying to basically sneak in thinking they could have a shot to jump into challengers/champions by going D1 in Dallas. PSP just shot that down. Event 2 might have more of those tams back down in d2 or d3 once they find out they misunderstood the idea...

of course not all teams that r new to D1 in Dallas r thinking this but it wouldnt surprise me if there were a few.

I don't think stepping up is bad but what some of these teams are doing is ridiculous, making a jump to a division you have no business being in, is just making the division look like a joke. Yea there are some teams that have lower ranked appa players but have experience in cxbl and that's cool with me because they have the skills to be there.

Your team, sac damage, had a lot of roster changes from Galveston to Mao. Which could be a reason why you guys did so well.
