live update feed
There are a couple fourms I am part of non paintball related and they have a feature called LIVE FEED. You click on it and it either opens a new tab or stays with your current tab. Then every time someone post something in any topic on the site they make some sort of sound to let you know something new was posted and it shows what the person typed and a link to go to the topic.
I love leaving live feed up bc I don't miss a thing and its super convenient.
Just an idea.
