Question marq7 stock engine funky issues

got my first marq in this week, not shooting, flipped the bolt cap around so that the hole was on the bottom and it shot "Well"
had my lpr adjusted by someone with a tester to 80psi lpr was at 130 when i got it evidently, i could not get the gun to shoot much over 230 and it was a very finicky 230 at that. upped the lpr blindly and got it to shoot 300, 265-301 with a handfull of shots.

i relubed the engine, rebuilt the lpr but did not access the piston. rebuilt my cp regulator and set it at 230 lb. screwed the lpr up untill the gun started to cycle and checked the dwell. the dwell was at 12 *frenzy 3.1* so i downed it to 8.

yes brand new battery, yes dow 55, yes good paint and bore match. thanks for the info ill test it out tomorow.

not trusting the gun much at all, how much does it cost to send in to blast to get fixed up?

Make sure your dwell is at the factory settings and sweetspot your regs.

Funny part is that I had a similar issue that I thought my LPR was at 75psi, but I replaced the gauges on the tester and found out my regs were only at 62psi. I up'd the pressure and it shot fine the rest of the day... The other thing that'd be really hard to tell is if you have a lurker spring installed then your pressures will be different.

There isn't much do rebuild in the lpr besides the piston oring. You should try to remove the piston so you can clean it and replace the oring if needed. I don't know if it will help your problem but it could be affecting it.

My rapper had a similar issue when the schrader valve in the hpr got messed up. But since you have a cp, I doubt that is the issue. Sounds like you need to sweet spot the regs, pressures are good for getting you in the ball park but sweet spotting them will get you over 230 as well as consistency.
