DMs are not known to be very efficient in the first place. In the cold they get worse. Tue only way to help is to get a good paint match and tune your dwell down. However, unless you carry more then 6 pods on the field with you i wouldn't worry about it.

It's been a rare point that I shot all 7 pods and the hopper I took out with me.
I do run an 88/4500 tank, but I think I'll be stepping down to a 77/4500 soon as I don't need the volume.
DM12, stock dwell, LPR 3 turns out, stock bolt (well worn in), etc.
I only adjust dwell if it's under 40 degrees (and honestly I don't like playing when it's close to freezing out).

You could try to lower your LPR but if you're playing in the cold you don't want to ride the line. If anything.......let the gun cool down to the temperature you're playing in first...then set the LPR from there.
You could lower your dwell a bit as well but in the cold..that's always iffy. I guess if your paint is pretty tough you could try it. Most likely you'll break paint though.
Best bet is leave the gun as is and try to use a tighter bore barrel. That might get you another pod.
NOt a lot of options in the cold. Anything you do may get you more shots, but also more broken balls. Buy a poppet for the winter is my best advice.

meh, ANY stock dm will get 8 pods and a hopper
best settings are
dwell 21 lpr 3 3 1/4
using 68/45

Depends how full your tank is too. A lot of places say they have 4500 fills......but in reality you may not be near that high, so you'll get less shots.
Most likely your LPR is set too high. Put your dwell at 21. That will let you run your LPR lower which is where the most air savings can be made on the DM line.

Thanks!

Sounds like your bolt tail orings aren't sealing 100% due to the cold getting them to shrink some. Put some fresh ones that are a bit thicker. Just take the back cap and test their fit to it to make sure they fit fairly snug.

As in turn your LPR all the way in till it stops, then back it out 3 3 1/4 complete 360 turns

So, turn it out to between 3 and 3.25 turns, depending on what your chrono and HPR adjustment allows, right? Just making sure.

Yes, most of the time 3 1/4 or 3 1/2 works better for the cold

Some guns can run higher, some can run lower. You just need to set your gun as low as it can go.......while still working 100%. I would let your gun cool down to the temperature you're playing in before making any adjustments. Cold guns and warm guns don't work the same.

I'm going to be playing in 35-40 degree weather on Saturday, do you think I should leave my gun in my car overnight so its the same temp as outside?

I shoot a DM6 and get 6 pods and a loader in the cold.
I recommend attacking aggressively or not playing 7man.
