Milling a new Bolt guide for the FEP Quest

So I really like the look of the Bloodline Shocker bolt guide.

But it will not work with an FEP Quest, which essentially looks like this (BTW the quest does not use a spring in it's bolt system)

So would it be possible to mill out something like the bloodline guide to put on my Quest? I assume it wouldn't be too hard, get dimensions of the bloodline's "revolver" part of the guide and dimensions of the quest guide and meld them together onto a CAD Drawing, put it into 2D dimensioned drawings and bring it to a machine shop, annodize, put orings on, done.

It wouldn't be very difficult as long as you know what your doing and have the proper tools & machines

It's akin to:
"I want to get carbon fiber body panels for my 2001 civic... on second thought, maybe I could get the vinyl decals with the same patter on them"

Not worth doing if it's not done right.

I'd suggest having the revolver drum extension made by itself or taken off the shocker guide and then leaving a male stump on it and running a die for the same threads as the HP plug set screw on the guide, then you can just take the setscrew out and screw it in with a little loctite and call it done.

I think it would be easier for me to just design and mill it at a local machine shop, I'm not too good with hands on stuff. Better at looking at computers and drawing geometric shapes.
