yeah i'm not sure about installing bushings by hand. If it's anything like doing my 4runner, you're going to need a press or a big vice with a lot of patience. i'm kinda weak though so i have to work smart, not hard.

Poly rear beam bushings go right in the beam by hand no problem. And nobody's car on here is a racecar, but if you enjoy driving it "spiritedly" it makes the car feel a lot more responsive and connected. It doesn't add any more NVH or squeaks.

Like I and M3 stated, if you opt for the poly bushings they literally slide in with your hand.

tried that with my oem ones. brute force and ignorance didn't work in this situation.

I did get them in though. Huge pain in the ***.

hence the poly bushings, which are far easier to install than the OEM's.

same goes with BMW RTAB's.

^damn that's a nice s5. is the straight test loud from inside even when you're just cruising? I'm considering going stage 2 but i don't really want a loud exhaust. I like silence sometimes.

i couldn't find audi center caps in mercedes wheel sizes so i found a temporary solution (custom 3D decals):

In auto mode, it grumbles at cruise speed. In S mode dynamic, it snarls and is pretty loud in the cabin.

I like it though. It's quiet enough for me to DD to work. Loud enough to scare people that pull up next to me.

Suspension in my car is ****ed.

1) Bent front passenger strut mount pretty badly. New one from Raceland on its way. Going to install myself, run them for the winter and then ripping them out and putting in a set of H&R or BCs come spring (hopefully).

2) I think my CA busings are shot on the back, starting to go bad on the front. Hearing a bad clunk coming from the rear and a "thump" from the front driver that is starting to get louder as the days go on (yes, I am driving my car [to work only] with a bent strut mount because YOLO).

Anyone have any suggestions for a quality (not OEM because I'm not paying $1,500 for ****ing control arms) control arm kit? Also, would it be worth it to try and just replace all of the CA bushings? I have access to a hydrolic press if all fails, but think I have a few tricks that might allow me to hammer them out.

Anyone have any experience with 034 Motorsports Density kit? $4XX for the kit front and back.

Your S5 is how I want my dads to sound and look lol. He just bought Avant Garde M590 wheels for it, but it looks even higher now that they're more flush, and it's so quiet lol.

We have a S5 project car at work, 4.2 APR Stg 3+ blower kit, KW V3 suspension, RS5 brakes front/rear, and some other goodies. It was APR's development car for the Supercharger kit.

You ever want to sell that kit? You have your shop give me a call, and I'll drive there from Chicago.

What's your shops name?

It may be sold eventually, but I'm not sure when. This is the first year for us having this car so it may be a few years til it's time to sell it. Our last big ticket shop car was a supercharged rs4.

I work at NGP Racing in Maryland.

I would take it. I can't justify 15k new for it. 10k, maybe. 8k, definitely.

Beautiful pictures and car Nerve. How has your S5 treated you? Did you prefer the V8 over the 3.0T or did it just work out that way?

Update on my life since I never post PBN anymore.

My brother and I flew to Miami to buy his new car. Just a Cayman S but its a great car for the price.

(I of course talked him into a set of Transparent Red Forgeline SE1s)

And my turd Audi is now a dedicated track car, and I bought a big Toyota to tow it.
