I love wagons.

Too bad I just bought a B6 A4, I would love a b5,b6, or C5 wagon.

I would love a B7 S4 Avant with straight pipes.

When they drop into the low 20s and I'm out of school

Currently in the process of blacking out my b5. Just got some brand new matt black AMG Mercedes 18's 9.5's in back and 8.5's up front. Once I finish the suspension I'll post pics.

Don't be a hater, audi's are quick enough stock to beat most of the rice out there and of course anything is possible in the aftermarket world.

straight pipes are loud as ****, you would need some of resonator to get rid some noise, they don't belong on audis

I made the mistake of having a loud exhaust on my DD and I will never do it again.

Hard to agree/disagree without having heard yours. My M5 and my Lightning had exhausts, not sure if they would be considered loud or not. The lightning droned a but more than the M, so it was slightly more annoying. I'd say I am ok with loud (but the quality of exhaust has a lot to do with it, the nicer ones will not drone) but straight pipes are more than loud. Plus you will look utterly ridiculous when you take off from a meet or something and your car is deafeningly loud and yet you're only going 20mph. There is an E46 3 series around here that pretty much does exactly that. So obnoxious.

My m roadster droned like a mother****er and that **** had 2 mufflers and a catalytic converter, it was louder on the inside than my saab with solid engine mounts.

I went from a custom magnaflow setup with resonators and mufflers... removed the rear mufflers in order to fit quad exhaust tips... It got so ridiculously loud. It sounded mean under WOT but droned terribly and I was embarrassed to drive through my parking garage when neighbors were around.

I now have Stasis and it's pretty quiet but still screams at WOT. Still not a huge fan of it, however. Might sell it and get the Milltek S6 exhaust.

I straight piped a toyota 4runner 3.slow and it sounded like a harley. It's the cheapest way to become a police target, that's for sure.

It's supposed to provide some sort of performance boost but not without headers and a mass air intake. +5hp max isn't worth the headache either way in my opinion.

I don't intend on driving over the speed limit, or racing (and if I am it's from a roll with a friend or two), or trying to prove to anyone that my car is fast.

If I ever build a race car, it won't be an Audi (besides stage 3 in my B5 at some point in the future).

Aside from that, I wasn't being serious about straight pipes, if I could afford a B7 S4 Avant 6MT I would go with a Fast Intentions system.

Meh, forget the fact that it's an Audi and listen to the 4.2L V8 make music.
