Seems like a lot of work for very little reward unless the 2.2 in there went kaboom and you just need to put something in it.
My boy racer days are done, I don't want to blow the doors off anything, I just want to have something that can mostly get out of its own way, for the fewest dollars and man hours I can.
An aluminum LS would be the dream, but it's fairly unrealistic.
The trucks not dead yet, but 395k miles is a lot, and the compression is starting to drop more than I like. Swapping is almost less work than rebuilding... Almost. And I'll have a better truck because of it. I can't hardly put a box of tic tacs in the bed without feeling it.
