Fairly sure I broke dm7 eyepipe

Im gonna be honest, I know almost nothing about dye markers. Up until recently I shot a G3 so excuse my ignorance. I bought a dm7 used from a friend for 200 with no barrel about a week ago and I just got around to breaking it down and cleaning it tonight. There was some paint in the breech so I swabbed it out but when I pulled it thorough there was a cracked piece of clear circular plastic about a 1/4 of an inch long that came through with it. Not knowing what to do, I threw it away however when I looked into the breech, I could see what was left of it. If I put my finger into the breech, I could also slightly move it back and forth. So I come to you guys asking, what do I do now? Do I need to get a new one? Leave the remaining broken and potentially jagged piece of plastic in there or what?

Remove all old plastic and what may be left in the breech, put a new eye pipe in, and make suer to NOT over tighten your barrel. Use an oring on the barrel and only slightly make sure its snug. If the barrel is too tight it causes much more stress on the eye pipe.
