Put a couple (2-3) drops anywhere inside the area where you screw the tank in.

If you need a specific target.... Either the pin that actuates the tank pin valve or the small hole to the side that the air flows through.

It's really not a technical process. Drop the oil in, screw the tank in, flip the lever, fire the gun to cycle the oil through.

Only would be dangerous by looking down the barrel with paint loaded, aired up and you pulling the trigger several times.

Compressed air / oil combo is only dangerous when filling a tank. It gets hot.. Over 300-400F in some cases, well beyond the flash point of the oil.

Your paintball marker gets cold as the air is dispensed from the tank, through the marker to the atmosphere.

No heat. No fire. No boom.

Pretty much the way paintball markers have been lubricated since the dawn of paintball...

Its been my understanding that the part of the tank that screws into the paintball gun is a one way valve. There is no way for oil to get "sucked" back in if you oil the regulator. The fill nipple is of course another story. Its all at your own risk of course.

Personally, I would contact Empire before I'd perform any sort of regulator maintenance. It isn't covered in the manual I have heard a bit of conflicting information regarding how often to oil the regulator and how much is okay. Since you most likely aren't taking your regulator apart, you don't have a way to clean out excess lube if your regulator gets gunked up.

We've been dropping 3-in-1 oil into ASA's for 20+ years. Perfectly safe. As snakesniper said, you don't want to put oil in your tank's fill nipple. That would introduce the oil into the tank body, superheat when filling, and explosion.

It's not. I usually lube mine in this fashion every 3-4 cases and have done it about 3-4 times now. Your safe dude, we have no reason to lie to about this.

Please never use 3-in-1 oil. It will destroy your reg and noid.

I think he posted that as an example for other guns... I mean it was prolly for tippmans or spyders or something. Yeah use something like shocktech, Planet or something else that is good oil.

Ok so I have Brass Eagle Liquid Fire, and some Triflow Supirior Lube (I believe the Triflow is for poppets. My parents accidentally got it for Christmas)

Would both work?

Yep, older guns. Sometimes I forget what decade we're in.

Hell, we used to lube up PMI-3's with Vaseline!

NO, Tri-flow is petroleum based and can cause the orings in the reg to swell.

I work in the firearms industry so I have a million kinds of "gun" lube....would Mpro7 LPX be OK for this? (it's water-based/non-toxic)

http://www.mpro7.com/mpro7-gun-oil-lpx.html

I'm a dealer for them and their facility is about a mile from my house so I have an unlimited supply of it....
