im not opposed to a minimum wage hike for moral reasons, im not worried about hurting the free market's feelings...im opposed because i think it will put a ton of pressure on small businesses, such as restaurants.

fixing it to the cost of living seems like a better idea instead of arbitrarily saying 9.00/hr. but even then i dont think that is going to contribute to any of the current problems of our economy. something like that would be better after more promising signs of recovery.

Planned Parenthood simultaneously fights for its existence as it extinguishes others. I'm not against Planned Parenthood, but I'm not convinced that they hold the moral high ground either.
Immigration has us covered and I'm just pointing out that those who typically whine about welfare babies are those actively trying to inhibit the prevention of said welfare babies.

Last minimum wage change was in 2009. What happened then? THE GREAT RECESSION. THANKS OBAMA

$9 in 2015 is comparable to references set in previous minimum wage changes. Hell, if you go back a few decades, it is actually less. Look on the bright side. When minimum wage is changed in 2015, internet libertarians will be able to spam the internet again with Ron Paul fanfic about what could have been if we had listened.

But clearly the free market is controlled by a benevolent force/god that maximizes utility for all men, right Adam Smith? I think most would be astonished if they understood the absurdity of the premises upon which the "infalliability of the free market" stands.
