So I have my backup tank that just sits in my room and doesn't get used (empire 68/45) and I heard your supposed to keep 1-200 psi to keep out moister?

My dad has a 200 psi tire compressor, would that work? Nothing will blow up?

If you have the right fitting you can fill it, sure.
Though if the compressor is near the ground and doesn't have a filter on it you may be blowing debris into your system.

If your focus is to keep out moisture, don't use the tire pump. The act of compressing air increases the density of the air but, since water is not compressible, also increases the percentage of water in the air. Most tire compressors do not have a drier element so you may just be increasing the humidity.

Since it is a spare, why not just take it in for an internal inspection and then ask them to only fill it to 500 or less.
