crooked tv

My wall mounted tv is crooked by just a bit, but enough to notice. Is my only option re straightening the mount?

Pretty much since the mount points are non adjustable.

This is why you use a leveler when mounting TV's.

I used a laser level. I think it moved a bit when I was drilling it.

If the mount doesn't have some sort of adjustment for that, then what would your other options be?

Because it is technology related, and rather than re doing my whole mount I wanted to know if there was an easier fix. No need to go on the attack.

You could tilt your couch on the one side. The picture below gives you an idea of what I'm talking about. You may not have to go to that extreme seeing as your problem sounds far less severe.

Edit: Be sure to tilt the couch the right way. If you tilt it the wrong way, believe it or not your problem will actually be worse.

Did you check with your manufacturer to make sure the wall was compatible?

Not sure what else we were supposed to tell you. In order to compensate for the tilt, and assuming this technology exists, the TV would have to reduce the viewable screen size and tilt it the other direction.

That, or the TV would have to be able to change shape.

I just don't understand what was going through your mind whenever you thought that it would be a good idea to post on an internet forum about how your TV isn't level. It blows my mind why you just didn't take a step back, realize that you're a moron and fix it.

loosen the bolts on the mount. depending on the size of the mount holes and the diamiter of the bolts there may be some amount of play that will allow you to tilt the mount just enough.

sweet I'll give it a shot. I used drywall anchors to make sure it held so the bolts will definitely reverse out easily.

But did you really have to make a thread to figure this out? If theres no way to tilt it, what else are you going to do?
