Please tell me what you think.. Looking for a gun with low maintenance. Thinking about an axe or ego 08.. But thinking about the vice. But then people say no to the axe, just because some pros use them are they still good?

Used Axe, most people get up in arms when a gun that costs half as much as theirs starts winning tournaments in the hands of other pro's. It's an awesome gun for it's price range and able to keep up with anything else offered on the market.

Any of these guns will be a solid choice.

I've started to see the used market on the axe come down to reality. For a while they were going for as much used as they were new. This week I've seen a few priced under $275 used in good shape. At that price they are tough to beat.

I picked up a used protege which is functionally identical to the vice and a shade heavier for $225. It's more gun than I can ever need. I won't ever have a need to upgrade. I may change markers for a few newer bells and whistles or to try something new but it is everything you could need. Also picked up a gently used PM6 for $125 and that thing is amazing. Very smooth shooter and very consistent. Grabbed a used NXT shocker for $150 and it shoots great though isn't near as efficient as the protege.

In all honesty, all of those markers are going to do everything I'll need and more. I'm sure if you're at the top of the competition heap some newer, more expensive marker may have a small feature that makes a difference, but not to the bulk of us.
