Bolt stop wont unscrew from body please help!!!
Bought a shocker sft just the other day and just got it today to to take it apart and the thing will not come out as if someone has jb welded it in place. Tried the heating and cooling to swell the metal and then cool it to contract the threads set the oven to 375 to heat ( only source I have to heat ) stuck it in the freezer at about 30* so now I'm at a loss as to what to do. Anyone have any solid ideas before I destroy this thing and render it useless??....... Anyone ever have this happen to them??

You put the body, with the firing assembly still inside, into an oven at 375 degrees? Dude, what?
If someone loc-tited the bolt guide in or something just JB weld an allen wrench into the bolt guide and get it loose that way. It's also possible that the bolt guide is pinned in.

I am replacing all of the internals anyways I just need the body but I can not get this bolt stop to budge and the only source I have available is an oven to heat it up other than jb welding an Allen wrench or loc tite it onto the bolt guide how the heck can the thing be pinned into the body it has only one way in and out and the previous owner has yet to get back to me yet. I've tried to expand the metal and contract it by the means I have avail to me short of finding someone with a vice to stick it in and using a cheater bar to get this thing loose any constructive help other than flaming me for doing what I tried to get it to open the metal up?

first off, define bolt stop. do you mean the bolt guide?
and pinned in is possible if the bolt guide threads are stripped, some drill a hole in the body and the bolt guide and put a pin in to hold the bolt guide in place.

There's a lot of internals that don't really need replacing, like the bolt sleeve, solenoid inserts if they were in there, SFT o-ring, etc. You are getting honest criticisims for putting a gun with o-rings in it into an oven, potentially making your problem quite a bit worse. Hopefully you didn't. It isn't flaming.

my fix including the body threading, the guide reaming, and the custom pin (2 pins are provided with every fix):
set screw is slightly recessed into the body once assembled:

They can be locked in place similar to this.

maybe the oven isn't hot enough? did you try 450 degrees?
but seriously. relax. read around on these links and be patient. don't destroy the thing in a rage.

Thanks Box I have gotten it loose and it was loctited in with red loctite was a pain but got it out the threads are pretty much gone on the back cap threads and the bolt stop cap. The bolt is salvageable, the can is fine the only things I need are the bolt sleeve cause the Delron is junk, I did get lucky and get a new designz adjustable blot guide but the thread are junk on it, the original v1 bolt is in good shape still but looks like I need a new body as well cause of the threads

1) have you degassed the marker by shooting out all the excess air?
2) if an allen key is not doing it or the allen key hole is stripped you can drill a hole on both sides of the allen hole and insert nails or drill bits or allens whatever and twist it out.
3) if there is loctite you want to heat it up and twist it out dont wait for it to cool. Your trying to soften the loctite not expand and contract metals.

Thanks Jim I got it out already and this thing is shot to hell and back there is no salvage of the body or the bolt guide the threads are only hanging on by 1 or 2 threads as of now and when I got it the bolt was stuck in the Delron bolt sleeve I'm guessing cause as I read the bolt should be in the forward position when air isn't attached to it right? And I'm searching around right now for a body, bolt sleeve, and bolt guide to start again what I was gonna do in the first place.

The body and guide should be salvageable if you use the pin method pictured above. And yeah I saw you got it out I was typing that other post out across 3 or 4 comercial breaks during the following lol.

Dye that's just sacrilege sir!! I've had my fair share of issues out of egos, DM/PM's, etc...... It's about taking care of and maintaining your equipment properly and it will last and take care of you.

If it is a sprung bolt, then yes it should be in the forward position. Otherwise, no.
