New game Format in MS : Classic Division!
Breaking News!
Millennium Series will propose a new game format named Classic division.
New rules, new field layout. Everything's changed.
5 man.
Double Central Buzzer
Roster size: 7 players
Participants born in 1977 and older
Game time: 10 minutes (non Stop)
Rules: Millennium
General idea of the Game concept:
Based on the Formula 5 format, the Objective is to score a maximum of points by activating the central Buzzer and eliminating opponent players.
Eliminated players will reinsert the game from their start base located at the back of the field.
Points will be granted if you keep buzzer activated, 1 point every ten seconds. You earn points by shooting oponents as well.
The big thing is: An eliminated player can re-enter the field once he/she comes back to the starting base. Each team can reinsert up to 5 eliminated players on the field.
If you want to see pictures and the complete book of rules, come see them

A bit of a joke if they release a complete rule book for this new format, especially while you have a few thousand players scattered around Europe dreaming of a complete MS rulebook.

I don't play MS, so I don't have a dog in this fight, but this seems kind of like a childish format. It feels like something that belongs in recball, and not in our sport while we try and make ourselves look legitimate.
However, if I understand the rules listed in the first post correctly, then this sounds fun as hell.

It is fun! Ive been playing the formula 5 format for a few seasons, and there is nothing like it! Get yourself in a good spot and you can rack up 20 kills per game as they send wave after wave trying to get you out! Or on the flip side, the challenge of when they have control of the buzzer and the 50's and you have to battle your way back to scoring again.
Going for the buzzer can get interesting!
Had our first Pro teams down the other week (UK Pro), we've all been saying how we want to see what two very good teams could do on the field and with this format, and it was the most epic back and forth battle ever by all accounts!

and if I'm reading this right, it's a ten minute straight game? How do they expect the old guys to survive?

@Swanie08
I knew someone would have complained about French, so I've put Rules in English down the page...

what prevents one team from camping the dead box of the other?
WTF is this push for "legitimacy"? We're a hobby sport... get over it.
I like these "new" formats like the NPL.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Why have I not heard of it before, and why is nobody trying it in the States?

This layout is not efficiency friendly, can this division be sponsored by Bob Long.

I'm gonna assume that paint conservation techniques probably come into play.

Paintball need unity in format. I think it's great people are trying to think outside the box but if you are going to ask your self why we cant we get much outside attention this might be your answer. Not many other sports have multi format platforms, making it confusing to market and less easy to understand as an outsider.
