Aren't Carters their own thread type?

The one I had, had a cocker threaded Dye Boomstick.

The only thing that Carter barrels have different is a slight bevel in the breach of the barrel to allow the bolt to seal better?

Not all comps are there own thread types, most of the later ones are cocker threaded, in fact most of the ones you will find are.

For a buzzard barrel you will need a barrel with a one inch od at the pump IIRC, and you can either have it beveled for the bolt or at a small oring in front of the threads.
