If you must have a minimum wage keep it low so it encourages people to better their lives. It's like when I unloaded trucks one summer for $8.50/hour. I hated it but looking back now I realize why my parents forced me to work during the summers. It was to motivate me to finish college so family members could hook me up with a real job and it not look bad
But isn't that ironic I've probably worked the toughest job out of anyone here? Spending hours inside semi truck trailers during the Tejas summer is no picnic.
My worst job was scooping ice cream
And unpacking **** into the freezers at the town pool the summer of my freshman year in HS.
2nd worse job was being a camp counselor at pal which paid "salary" of 185$ a week . Way below minimum wage . I quit after day 3 because it wasn't worth my time . I then got a job the next week at a baller *** camp which paid 8$ an hour an the average family income for a kids parents was around 200k. The tip season was amazing at the end of the summer .
