Going to be using a G6R as my main shooter for awhile, actually wanting to pick up another for my back up lol
Anyways so im in TX so chances are there will be a turny in the rain, or nasty muddy sloshy condition. So my question is how well do these hold up in the rain? Any precautions i should take like wrapping my grip frame with tape or something to that nature. Thanks guys
I have played a few times in the rain with my 6r and have had no problems so far. Haven't actually went as far as diving in a pool or anything with it to truly test the water tolerances, but I don't think it will be too big of a problem.
The G6R is good to go in the rain. Have used it several times in the rain without issue. The only drawback to it is that due to it having an exposed bolt, you will get a little more rain in your breach area which can cause the accuracy to degrade a little bit in the heavy rain over markers that have an enclosed bolt. No issues what so ever with it functioning though. Bob Long also makes a rain tip for his two piece barrel that does a great job of keeping rain out of the barrel that may be a good investment if you think you will be playing in a ton of rain (the alternative is to just tape over your porting as well).
