Another Which Tourney Marker To Purchase
Hey guys, just gettn back into paintball again, been doin the Rec scene for a while with some MilSim in the mix... Time We go to some tourneys and have a blast......
Right Now I have a PE Etek 3. Do you think the Pooty Bolt upgrade is worth it?
So I have about $6 - $700 to spend on a Marker, What do you recommend for
a Upto date Marker??
All advice will be taken into consideration and will prob come back with a response. Thanks and happy Ballin playas

For 600 you can get a geo 2.1 I believe, or an incredibly upped/sexy axe

If you have an etek 3 and need to ask what gun to buy, your money is better spent on field time.

You should think about what features you want in another marker. People play tournaments with Ions so you have more than enough gun with the Etek.

Shoot the piss out of the etek and get better at the game. That marker isn't your performance limiting step, especially if you don't know the difference between it and other $700 markers. Seriously, a new marker will not help one bit, experience will. The etek will run PSP rules just fine and will run semi just fine. If your local field has some other set of rules they follow, find an inexpensive board that conforms to those rules (assuming the stock doesn't). From there just shoot it.
I don't mean to be insulting or rude, I know the above advice applies to myself as well. It doesn't matter what sport it is, be it paintball, golf, etc, experience is far more valuable than equipment for the vast majority of users. We all want to buy skill through equipment but that's not how it works.

So whose here asking for skill from equipment? I am asking for Opinions and seeking answers from those. You got it wrong buddy. I have plenty of Skill from the field. So Yes It was insulting what you said. And its time to purchase My own Marker, that is why there are forums to get answers from others that Help A fellow peer, not insult them

The etek 3 is a tournament level and tournament ready gun. You can go play at the pro level with that thing.
But to answer your question I would pick up a vx'd clone for around $500-550.

Depending on whether you like poppets or spoolies are not willing to spend more than 700, and if you want new or used. Id recommend something like the Proto Reflex Rail new for around $500, Geo 2.1 used for around $650-$700 depending on the shape. Or the 2011 Bob long G6R used for around $600 (I have one and I love it)
I can't really recommend anything else considering i haven't shot or played with many other markers, but these i have at least shot and all are great markers in my opinion.
