I love the new milling. Simple and stylish. However, the ripper has been the sexiest gun since it was released

Then your decision would be really hard.

Im assuming the new engine works with slp reg also? not many spools like them. wonder if you'll see the efficiency gain with the slp like you did with the poppet.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The HPR is going to run around 155 IIRC. I used to run my Axe on SLP and it worked just fine.
Just ordered the spool engine, so i'll find out shortly.

The only reason I could see the SLP not working is because the massive volume of air that spools use/release compared to poppits. If a gun is only getting 1,100 shots then you know it's letting more air through per shot than the stock engine that's getting 2,100. I have faith in Ninja regulators though, they have amazing recharge rates. I also doubt Bob Long would have made a kit that didn't work with the SLP.

It should work. I have used my slp on geos and DMs just fine.

The Vcom must gives people the ability to load pods like a BEAST!
I'm really consider this engine since it it can consistently get 1400 shots from a 68/4500. I thought Bob Long had said something like 1100 in the earlier video. 1400 makes it just as efficient as the DMs and Geos, and hopefully it's as smooth as other high end spools as well.

Bobs not done yet boys. He's still machining to get the best possible efficiency. I knew he wouldn't like 1100 shots per fill!! Like a madman, he's making something awesome even better!

So do you mean he is still tweaking the design right now? Or he just improved on it since the last video and all spool engines will be capable of 1400 shots? I'm certainly going to wait if he is still tweaking it. I don't want to drop $170 on one that cane get 1400 shots when a new version might be is released two months later that can get 1600 shots.

All in good time. Since the spool engine is now coming with every Victory, they should have them in all the standard colors eventually.

No worries, bob will make it right before he lets them leave the shop. Very subtle changes have been made. Everything will be fine. Trust me.

Bob is releasing them in just black because it's an "upgrade" and doing a ton of different colors wouldn't be smart from a business perspective. If the color is a big issue, you could always order a vcom right? Then it would look sick

That's what I figured. I'm just tried of paintball companies doing that.
"Oh this bolt is amazing, best thing ever for the XXXX" and 3 months later they start saying "Remember that old one? Yeah it sucks now, but this new one is awesome! Best thing to happen to the XXXX since it was made."
I'm sure you know what I mean. I've never gotten that from Bob Long but it's certainly prominent in the industry.
So have you gotten a chance to look at one of these in detail yet? Do you know if it uses orings that aren't on the SC engine? If I get one I will to pick up any extra orings I don't already have in my Vic rebuild kit.

Orings would have to be similar because it operates from the same internal milling as the supercharger kit.
Internal orings might be a different story.

That's what I was thinking. I just hope he doesn't use any more metric orings on the inside. I have plenty of standard orings, but never seem to have the right metric one when I need it.

Will it be fine to still use Dow55 and tri-flow with the new engine?
