So reading that note about it leaking, it states that you need to set the LPR pressure to 70psi.

Does this mean the Spool and Poppet actually DO run on separate pressures? Or is this just being stated in a cautionary "cover our *****" sort of way?

Because while I'll more than likely stick with one motor for extended times, I still just wonder if I would be able to go all stupid one day and change motors every round of play without adjusting pressure. Just hot swap, chrono, and go.

The spool valve runs on a lower pressure. About 10 psi lower on the lpr.

I think this marker will do very well.

I hate to show my age, but back in the day markers use to have a novelty associated with them. The Nova had a reciprocating barrel, the rainmaker was louder than a real gun, the nasty typhoon had two barrels, the flatline barrel put some wacky spin on a paintball. People loved that their gun did something different.
The interchangeable internal operation will attract the "need for speed" crowd as well as the "novelty" crowd.

Just my 2 cents.

THIS

It is an awesome concept. But Bob Long markers have never worked well for me. I must just not know how to tune them....

Some people drench their bolts in dow40. You are supposed to use triflow, or a micro thin coat of dow 40

How do you reset and test the lpr pressure when swapping between the spool and poppet setups?

In that case, it's unnecessary to use two different types of grease on the same marker, and it's still stupid for Bob to use Dow 55.

Nobody else needs to swell their o-rings, what about BL guns requires it?

And I rarely (if ever) need to seat my o-rings in other markers, I struggle to understand why it's such a consistent problem with this engine that they felt it necessary to include a piece of paper telling people to dry-fire. My ten year old shockers seal more consistently on air-up than this thing seems like it's going to.

What is a "directional o-ring"?

The only thing I see about directional o-rings is on page 5-17. I don't see why that would need to be implemented here since there are no non-compressible liquids.

The vents are not necessary in pneumatic designs.

It seems to me either you or Bob is making **** up, or shockers have exactly the same kinds of seals.
