dont use straight dow33. try lurker lube or violent pb jelly. both work well on our g4s with no bolt stick

it wont last as long as the good stuff. the g4 already requires a regease before you play and sometimes half way through your day depending how much paint you shoot.
i like to grease after every case of paint.

That's not true use actual Dow 33 and it will last for at least 5 cases and paint does NOT effect lube at all

so you go five cases with dow33 in your g4? right.. im sure its really consistent and has zero oring wear.
dow33 does not stay on the bolt as well as the grease i recomended. the greases i recomend will last for more than 2000cycles but i recomend regeasing at the 2000mark.
dow33 does not last as long on a dp spool valve. by design the grease does not stay in place like it does on other guns.
i know what im talking about. ive been dealing with these guns for a long time.

Ok, well ill never shoot a case a day, I'm 100% sure on that, so if i lube with 33 before, and then when i clean up at the end of the day ill be straight right?

Correct, it is a mix. It actually has some petroleum-baised oil in (I believe), so DO NOT use it for your tank internals.

dow33 will do you just fine.
All dow33 is is a base for all the fancy greases. IT works fine but not as good as the other greases.. otherwise we would not pay extra for them.
When i used nothing but straight dow33, i found that i started to get bolt stick about half way through my day (maybe 2-3 bags of paint). See how it works for you and go from there.

anything is better than the dp40 grease that is probably in there. I like to put a good grease in the noid but dow33 should do just fine. If you have some oil (gold cup, eclipse oil) try adding just a dap of that to the dow33 to thin it out. Thats how i did it with dow33 and it worked well.

just a little bit will go very well with the dow33. dont go overkill or itl just make it easy for it to wash off.
using straight oil is never a good idea with these guns, keep that in mind

dp bolt dont hold onto grease very well. let me know how those five cases work out for you champ
my luxe holds lube better, prolly could get away with five cases but i re grease everytime i use it.
if you stick around, youl find that the regulars on here know what they are talking about whether its a dp or a mac dev. half of us have both.

I have a question for everyone in here. I just purchased a new G4 and am wondering if it is ok to re-lube it with Dye slick lube? I was going to see how it shoots out of the box with the stock lube, but after reading so many awful reviews on that dow 44 lube iv'e reconsidered it. Frankly i'm scared to shoot this thing straight out of the box, i want that lube replaced asap. So about the Dye slick lube? Anyone?
