In reality, the "score" at D-Day is pretty much even. Both sides have had their run of wins....right now the current wining run belongs to the Allies.

However, that has never discouraged either side from attending and giving it their best shot. Listening to all the banter and gossip concerning D-Day serves little purpose other than entertainment.
