So I bought an 08 ego and the previous owner said it came with a cure 3 bolt. I looked at the images of the cure 3 and they all have a small C3 on the bolt. Mine does not have this on the side. Although it does look almost exactly like the other cure 3 bolts Ive seen.

If it looks the same it probably is. We can confirm if you post a picture of it.

The reason it does not say "C3" on there would be because it could've came from a SL94/EGO10/EGO11. If you buy the bolt as an upgrade it has it marked on there. Stock from a factory marker will not.

Ya you should also be able to tell if there is a ramped insert inside of the bolt. If its from a SLS which is unlikely it could have other inserts in the bolt.

That would be a Cure 3+

I had a prototype Cure 3+ that had the ramped insert, no C3+ milling, and it only accepted the ramped insert but not the SLS inserts. If this helps for anything.

Yes the SLS came with a Cure 3+, HOWEVER the SLS Cure 3+ bolt inner diameter for the inserts was different than the Cure3+ bolts sold individually. This means the inserts provided with the SLS would only fit the Cure3+ that came with the SLS.

It wasn't the inner diameter that was different. The inner chamber that accepts the insert was milled deeper in the SLS Cure 3+ than the standard Cure 3+. Trust me I had to find this out the hard way. I acquired the SLS inserts and tried them in what was supposed to be an SLS bolt and later found out I got taken, it was a prototype Cure 3+. Then I had to turn around and actually get an SLS bolt to use my inserts in.

Yes sorry, you are correct. I should've clarified correctly. I remembered it was some inner portion that was different. Thanks for the correction
