Lots of good tips there, and in this forum. Youtube has tons of videos as well. How to type vids, just browse around. Watching and playing people who are a lot better than you will help the most.

Hey I'm trying to get back into pb as well.
Issue 1-COST
I stopped playing when I realized I was rolling through 2+ cases a trip. how are paint prices now? about the same? worse?
I would need to rehydro ALL of my tanks (at least 3)
Do they even still make the o rings and such for 06 infamous timmies?
issue2 -GEAR.
I'd look a bit too " pro" first day back.
example:
I have a kitted out 06( if i remember correctly) infamous Timmy, nice custom masks, excellent regs/ gun parts, jerseys etc
how do I convince the refs at the field " hey man, i gotta get back into this"?
also, I need new sliding pants( holy **** I grew a lot I remember when I was getting WORN by the pants). Those still expensive?
thanks guys

Issue 1 - Cost
Paint price varies depending upon what your field is charging for it. Here, you can get a case of field grade paint for $40, then upwards for higher grade of $45, $50, etc. Rehydroing tanks depends upon where you go. Usually between $20-$30. And yes, you can still get o-rings for your old timmies.
Issue 2 - Gear
Dress up as a noob on your first day back. Sweatpants, jeans, etc. Or just tell the refs you haven't played in years. They might believe you, considering you have an 06 timmy lol. And I highly recommend buying used here in the b/s/t forum. You can find barely used stuff for really good prices.

Even though you haven't played in years, most likely you're skill level will be way too high for renters. Make sure you're at least playing some people who have a bit of skill and their own gear to be fair.
You'll be fine. By the way, the gear you have now will work just as good as anything else. The only thing I would do to your 06 timmy is get a tooless clamping feed neck and maybe a pillow bolt since the paint is way smaller now and your ball stack may be a bit out of whack. Your board may not be totally up to date but should still be adjustable to current limits.
You could always sell off a couple of tanks you don't need to buy paint lol. Keep one good 68 fiber and dump the rest. Buy a smaller bore barrel with the cash.

Paint has gotten smaller? good thing I still have my sly barrel kit. '
How the hell did that happen. They aren't .68 caliber anymore?

No it's still .68 caliber, but the paint has gotten smaller. Usually, you can bore at .693 or .695, etc. Now paint is getting down to . 689-.685
