Dm8 problem with bolt not going all the way. Need help quick.
So I am basically on the verge of quitting because I can not get my gun to work. I sent it in, it got "fixed" and still doesn't work. So it shoots great at times. However, every once in a while, usually first in a sequence this happens: The bolt makes a puff and goes about half way until it stops. The ball is usually in the detent with the bolt right behind it. It doesn't go back to the starting position or anything. I have to stick my finger in there through the feedneck and push the bolt back to the starting position. This is a pretty serious problem and won't allow me to play. In a game I can't take my hopper back to push the bolt back. If I just keep shooting the ball behind it will just chop into the other ball. There is a very small leak in the fitting that holds macro line and goes into hyper3. Could this be related in any way? I don't want to spend any more money at this point. It has a Tadao board in it. The bolt orings are brand new and lubed. What could my problem be.

Your lpr is to low. Turn it in all the way, then turn it to the left 3-1/2 times. Then, reset all stock board settings. Put dwell on 18-21 if necessary

sounds like a dwell/LPR issue.
Put your dwell to 21, and do 4 turns on the LPR. see if that works make sure you have a fresh battery and a fresh coat of lube on the bolt.
If that doesn't work you need to rebuild your LPR.
Also I'd crack open your reg as well make sure there is no rust, or it's not extreamly dirty then clean/rebube it
read my sig if you dont want to mess with it.. but anyway heres some advice..

So I reset my settings and put a new fitting on the gun and it's barely shooting. It will probably go about 20-40 feet. I could probably stick my hand Infront of the barrel if I wanted. I tried 3 tanks, with very low air but I don't think that's why.

Did you read my post? it's definitely a reg issue or a LPR issue

he should of never loctited the "lpr" cause it's something you adjust every time you tech/tune the gun so i dont know what tech did it but that's wrong...
unless he didnt know what u meant and loctited the lpr set screws under the gun

Probably means he put loctite on the grub screw holding the LPR in, or if the OP is an idiot and he removed the screw to the LP air transfer hole, then he might have Loctited that...
OP call DYE during the day and talk to a tech, they will walk you through how to reset your regs.

He reset my regs while he had it too. The posts above said to reset my regs again so I did it and now it's barely shooting.

Do you happen to know what pressure your hyper 3 is at currently?

Hmm might be a board issue, possibly bolt stick due to no ABS (if you have it turned off), I am not too familiar with the Tadao boards? Do you have a stock board you can swap out???
Also do you (or a friend) have a hpr that you can put on the gun? If it works the same at least you can rule that out then.
I'm going to guess it is the board or lpr however, most likely being the lpr. Open the lpr and make sure everything matches up to the manual (shim stack mainly). Make sure that the main seal (seat) is in good condition as well.

The hyper reg and the LPR are not the same thing.
Both need to be set to factory settings before you try to diagnose a problem.
If your bolt goes forward and stays there, that tells me your have no, or very little air getting into the gun. Set your HPR properly....then set your LPR properly. Then air it up and see what happens.
Make sure you aren't blocking the air from your tank by screwing the on/off asa knob in too far. Make sure you don't have the guns on/off knob on the front of the gun in the off position, or half off.

So I started messing around with the velocity and lpr and the gun started to leak from the continuous flow when I turned the velocity up. I took the gun apart about a month ago and tightened it because I was have the same problem. I have shot it probably 200 to 300 times since and now it's leaking from there again.

Change the continuous flow o-rings , or buy a cp continuous flow plug.

honestly it seems like this gun is giving more troubles then you want, the best bet is to give it a tech, on here or from dye itself and let them do a complete rebuild and you wont have to mess with it again,
Now for your issue change your LPR flow plug orings, or try relubing them I dont know the size off the top of my head
