It's all about developing rhythm. practice, practice, practice. Like literally, dry fire your marker every day. switch hands. tap your finger on desks.

Simply practice pulling your trigger. playing fps games which require a lot of mouse clicking helps too

I used to just sit there pretending to shoot people on tv, switching hands. I also switched hands on my computer mouse a lot. Practice is the only thing that works. If you don't have an electo gun.....nothing will work lol.

i just walk around moving my fingers back and forth, ill sit at my desk and do it sometimes. builds up endurance and it'll start to become muscle memory.

I've been playing for almost 9 years and still can't hit above 10-11bps and I do just fine. Walking the trigger isn't as important as people think and you can still bring the hurt at a low rate of fire.

I agree
you should still work on your off hand to ensure a consistent rate of fire when shooting between lefty and righty.

While watching t.v, you can just sit there an practice walking the trigger with your off hand. It will build muscle memory.

There are two good finger walking methods...
1) middle and index fingers
2) pointer and middle
It's the idea of rotating back and forth. Left handed should be the same as a right and so it's a ambidextrious motion. Holding a marker by places other than the grip, say a feed neck or lead into a barrel, can allow rotations for snap shots in a faster motion.
Walking a trigger with a hopper that can feed you in a matter of 4 to 6 shot bursts are the best kill shots. I've worked on 2 shot bursts to conserve paint.

There's an article (link in my sig) about this...I think I explain it better there than I will here, so I'll let you read up on it.
The key is to push your fingers faster than you think they can go. By pushing them hard (walking really fast) they'll get faster. Read the article, it's real nice and short and it'll teach you a lot.

because there are such things as semi-only fields and tournaments.
one thing to consider is that 10-14 bps is normal. anyone who says they can shoot 20bps in semi is most likely either lying, or has a bouncy trigger.

I've found that rubber band technique to be humorous.
Develop some rhythm, and you'll be perfectly fine. When I was younger, I got in the habit of tapping out the beat of a song with my left hand; never with my right.
I can easily walk the trigger with my left, but have a difficult time keeping constant with my right hand.
Also, find out what type of tension works best for you. I can walk my ego and shocker much better than my NT. I prefer magnet and minimal (microswitch only) tension as opposed to spring.
