"Possibly" the slp could just not be charging it fast enough.
I've said it once back in another thread, Just because someone gets a fluke marker that can operate at 120 psi and shoot 290, doesn't mean everyone's will.
Same goes for regs on tanks. Just because you've heard/seen that it *should* work, doesn't necessarily mean it WILL work with yours. I'd say first things first, try a different tank with either a mid-high output.

The SLP reg will work properly with an axe. An Axe with a Boss bolt operates at a lower pressure than the G6R or the Vic. So the Axe actually has a bigger buffer than Bob Longs guns.
Have you lubed your regulator lately?

And the Axe is also, even with boss, not supposed to be able to operate at anything less than ~130, yet there was someone not too awful long ago who had a STOCK setup running at ~100. I still maintain that a possible reason behind this is the SLP.
Don't G6R's knock that 200 input down to like 70 or 80 something with it's 2 stage system? While the input is as high as a regular axe, it's actual OP is half that of a boss'd axe, so even if it was only getting in 150 psi, it only needs ~80 to work. (I may be wrong on that, but the way I understood the design was like that)

The SLP reg comes set to 300psi if the operating pressure of the Axe is 200 stock what's the problem with using the SLP?

60-70psi for the lpr only. The HPR is still 180-210

None. Used slp all last year on multiple axes. No issues at all.

Where in the heck are you getting .688 sized paint at? I know a lot of guys with fixed barrel pumps that would kill for paint that big lol.
And I really think the problem is in your reg. Trying running some oil thru it. If that doesn't help call tech support. They might just send ya a free replacement if they agree its the reg.

The Geo is designed only to work with HP tanks, that's why the LP tank doesn't work on it. They require a LP spring for their HPR to operate properly with any LP tank.

Ok a little update I raised the reg to 165ish and its shooting a lot better but no I havent messed witg my reg yet I figured I would try that last, keep in mind this is a brand new gun with 5 cases now threw it so it could just need some breaking in. When I ran a slp on my geo 2 it was crazy efficient hopper+8pods.

I have an Axe with a Crossfire LP running 450 psi into the gun, 140 psi shooting in the mid 270's and a Boss Infamous bolt and average about 10 pods (or 9 and a rotor) off a 68/4500 with approx 500 psi left in the tank after, but I am underboring with a .682 so that could be an area to look into.

Make sure your bolt guide orings fit decently. If they are too loose they won't seal and it will cause shoot down.
Study this:
http://paintball.newkamikaze.com/scheme.php?id=11
You will then understand why you need your bolt guide orings to seal. You must also make sure your poppet and battery are lubed and fresh.
ALSO, Hater Sauce contains petroleum additives. Ask them for a MSDS. They wil; never admit it under any other cicumstance. It creates a slick lube however it is bad for your orings.

Dow33 will work fine. It's the recommended lube for the Axe and the base for a lot of other paintball lubes.
