why is macro line and upgrade?

Excuse my noob-ism I just got a 2011 rail 2 weeks ago and have been looking at upgrades in the future and I was curious why everyone changes the stock metal woven line to macro? Is there a benefit or is all for looks?

Just read the FAQ and it didnt really answer my question... if there is nothibg wrong with the steel line why replace it? ....Other then to change color...

i have a rail 2011 too i change the steel hose to macro but that was only because i got cp on/off asa other than just keep it on is more durable that way

Macro line allows you to use quick disconnect fittings.

Ok so if I upgrade my asa or need to disconect the steel line it is worth the macro upgrade... but if im just playing recball it not really that much of an improvment?

I HATE microline,seems to leek at the worst time,always replace my micro with steely if I can but I have a hose shop nearby that custom makes steely for cheap
If you change to an ASA your steel line may not fit,unless you plan to change your ASA or reg often steel line is the way to go IMHO
