I've been doing lots of research on barrels and I've found I should get a barrel kit. Then I went to a mainstream shop and they said i should get the super freak empire kit, but I did not like it so I moved on. I asked at a field and they said Hammer Head so I've been aiming for that for a long time. Then I went to another shop to confirm and they said no those break paint with speedball guns (my invert mini) so the said gog freak. What should I do?

A kit is always gonna be the best thing if you have the money and will last forever and youll always have the size bore you need... A full Smart Parts/GoG(Same Thing) is going to be pretty much the best all around kit considering it has every bore size you would ever need and the barrels are great... Had mine for years and still loving it... Another good option if you into carbon fiber barrels could be the Deadlywind Fibur because it takes the inserts that the freak barrel does but its a 1-piece carbon fiber barrel... But other options could be things such as the MacDev shift kit...

Stock barrel is fine unless you are looking for a specific barrel design, sound signature, or efficiency.

Paint size can vary from batch to batch. A barrel kit fixes that.

Freak barrel has never let me down plus they have stainless steel inserts. They have all kinds of bores. Once you get to the field take 3 paintballs and put them through the inserts if they roll out then the bore is too big if it doesn't roll out and you can't blow it out then it's too small. If it doesn't roll out and you can blow the ball out then that bore will work best for those paintballs

I'd get a deadlywind fibur and whatever freak inserts I'd need.

IMHO 1 piece barrels do better than 2 piece.

Then you want an underbore barrel with a long control bore. IMO freak-based barrels are out due to the mediocre control bore.
