cleats?

hey guys just wondering whats a good set of cleats to use for paintball? iv used a cheap set of walmart soccer cleats for the past 2 years and they have worked well but i find my ankles are rolling a bit, so im wondering if a set of football or baseball cleats would work better.

otherwise how are the hk shredders or the exalt trx cleats?

Have a few friends that have the Exalt cleats and love them.. I can't attest to them because they don't make them anywhere near wide enough for my feet, so I'd be in extreme pain wearing them, and probably blow the sides out in two weeks.

Currently I'm wearing old football cleats from highschool. They hurt my feet after a few hours, and they are metal tipped screw-ins so walking on any kind of hard surface is dangerous but they really grip on turf and dirt..

My advice is goto some of the quality running shoe brand websites, and use their tools to figure out what kind of runner you are. Once you figure out your gait and biomechanics you can use that information to find a shoe/cleat that will help prevent injuries (such as ankle rolling) and feels good to your feet. Typically football cleats are good for ankle support because they often times have a mid-rise ankle. I'd probably buy Nike landsharks if they were remotely wide enough for my feet. Stick with molded, they are less dangerous on hard surfaces (some staging areas indoors don't have turf).

I used to run Cross Country and have used my old running spikes at times. The cross country ones have prosper cushioning unlike the sprint ones. That said I would only use these on a sup air field, which is flat and smooth. Like jpay I'd opt for Landsharks or similar for any woodsball as they give more support and comfort. Have used Exalts and other similar cleats but don't find them any better than running spikes and more expensive.

I use Nike hard ground / turf cleats. Forget the model. Work great.
