alias not shooting over 240

ok guys im having a bit of an issue. My alias will not shoot over 240 unless my lpr is over 100, and with my lpr that high the gun is literally pinging when I shoot. I am not sure what tank the previous owner used, but I know mine is a low pressure tank... not sure if that matters.

Ups are:
Virtue Redefined board
Delrin LPR piston
Eigen Ram
Custom magnetic delrin trigger (I made it =] )
Dye Ultra light barrel
Adjustable ram cap

Now another question I have is how does the adjustable ram cap work, what is the point of it? I never knew you could adjust a ram...

Replace the rear ram and make sure the dwell is at 10Ms.

Rear ram o-ring.

I got your back Jack.

In addition to that replace the battery and re-balance the regs. Use Lurkers method. Anyone wanna link it? Too much work from my phone.

Adjustable ram caps let you set where the bolt sits in the breach at rest.

....and I got yours. Couldn't find a direct link but did find this for Lurker's method for balancing the regs:

1: Back out both regs or Zero out both the LPR and HPR to 0psi
2: Raise HPR slightly only to set LPR for cycling
3: Raise LPR to fully cycling ~45psi or so
4: Raise HPR until velocity begins to stop rising as you increase pressure
5: Raise LPR to desired velocity
6: Lower HPR a bit, then raise if necessary... you're trying to find the best HPR setting at the LPR setting you have. This may put your velocity over 300/285
7: Lower LPR slightly to field velocity

I do the same adjustment with my HPR/LPR.. so far indoors I get a consistent 253/256... no more or less while my LPR is at 80PSI... still have to record my HPR as I don't have a gauge port on it.. probably 180psi or so..

for the ram cap... I do one of 2 things..

1) I screw in the cap a little so the bolt tip is in the middle of the feedneck... then push back on the bolt and simultaneously back out the screw on the ram cap so that you only see the tip of the bolt at the BACK of the feedneck port..

or...

2) do the same as above, but place a paintball in the feedneck.. back it out until the bolt allows the paintball to drop into the breach

never had a chop yet

if the rear ram oring doesn't work try below:

you using the lighter poppet spring with your lurker ram? if not, you should be. Also, do you have good paint to barrel match? does your bolt have an oring on the tip? Are your detents good?

The part in the bottom picture is an HPR piston. I think it was shocktech who made the double Oring torpedo pistons.

Looks like an Alias style LPR piston to me.

Be sure to use the lighten spring when using the Eigenram or you will mostly have velocity issues.

unfortunately that is the only spring I have...where would I find a lightened spring? And that is the eigenram in my alias I am assuming? Guys I am a complete moron when it comes to timmys, so I am learning as we speak.

Contact Lurker27 on here, or through his website.

The ram in the first and second picture is the Eigenram, I would assume that is what you pulled out of your maker.

lurker said I could run with no spring so hopefully that will solve the issue.

Did he also tell you running without a spring "may" cause you to have to run at a lower pressure? If you remove the spring make sure to start your reg adjustments from 0 again.

yea I will use the lurker method to set my regs, my question is what is the perk of using a spring if you can operate at a lower pressure without one? Everyone is constantly posting about lowering their pressures for a smoother shot...so why have a spring at all?
