Has anyone heard from hydrotec? I haven't seen anything on them in about 6 months. I was just wondering if their dead or not.

HydroTec or similar technology is BADLY needed in the paintball industry.
I don't think HydroTec is doing well.
You'll note, Paul (the main dude) isn't listed on the website as part of the crew.
He was removed a while ago.
Not sure if he's still working there.
EDIT: Correction. The 'crew' part of the website which is only indirectly accessible (typing the URL manually) has changed again.

I don't know what they heck it is they are doing, but I'm sure investors are breathing down their neck. (and rightfully so)

Yes they are. The shells are corn based. The selling point is that they are unaffected by moisture and since the fill is water based they can be made cheaply, stored for a long time, are brighter, and evaporate a little while after breakage which would really help field owners out with the mess.
They had a round of field testing several months maybe even a year ago at a field near Chicago. PistolPete has a review on his channel. I remember hearing something happened though I can't remember what (driving me nuts right now ). Ever since then though I haven't heard anything. It seemed like they were close to launching and then nothing.
The machines they bought for the first run failed.
I think they were in court attempting to get their money back from the company that made the machines.
I also remember hearing they were going to get another machine in,
but I haven't heard of anything since then.
that's the last news I saw as well.
