What are you doing to light these? The lighting is so strange in some areas.

First time on the tennis court. Definitely an interesting switch coming from basketball

#1 is awesome. I'd like to see more color in the sky, and maybe a bit of detail in the shadows, but I love it

Thanks, there's not a whole lot more I can do. My 7D raw files get grainy so fast, even at iso 100. Can't wait to get a body that handles low light more cleanly.

Expose the sky longer than the foreground. Use a piece of black cardboard and during the long exposure dodge the light areas. Taking darkroom techniques to digital!

Thanks for the advice There's a ton more I wanna do this year than I ever had time for in college. New job, new gear, new ideas, everything. It'll also be a lot easier to shoot when it's not so cold that my hands start sticking to my tripod.

Your ship has a gun on it, therefor you win.

Meanwhile, on land, the natives come out for food....

Bought a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 on a whim the other day... I guess cuz I've always been tempted by the 35mm f/1.4 for both Nikon and Canon.. Except this was muchhhhh cheaper.

I deleted all my sodafan pictures so we're stuck with just this one...

f/2

I'm liking this thing quite a bit.. I haven't had much luck with Sigma really, and usually only buy Canon/Nikkor lenses but this feels great to me.

Hopefully I'll get out and shoot this weekend... forecasts say we're suppose to get slammed with snow -- possibly up to 32"... here's hoping.
