The lower sound comes mostly from the enclosed bolt. Where ever air can escape it makes a noise. When you make the gun with the quick pull pin you sacrifice the quiet shot.

Kind of sounds like you're saying the mag community isn't technical.
We are talking 20 years ago (I bought MMag 2264), when we ran vertical CO2 to keep liquid out of the gun, and in my case, the nearest repair shop was 2500 miles away, and paint cost $.50 a ball (until I worked to get it carried locally.)

I suspect my back in the day is a bit further then I want to admit.

Funny, I don't have any air escaping there... still quiet.

The way that you dismiss anything negative said about your product like you're talking to a bunch of idiots raises my suspicious about you.

Stop posting dumb comments then.. the main reason poppets are louder than spools are

1. the rammer slamming into the valve stem

2. the higher OP of poppets

I'm excited to see what this has to offer.. more importantly I want to see the efficiency.

Let's keep this peaceful. I think J4 is trying to address stuff without giving too much away and also keep it light.

This is something that I can almost guarantee won't happen. KEE owns the patent for the freak system. If someone is making parts for it, KEE WILL go after them.

To me, it's really... weird for a company that makes their own markers to use another's barrel system.

IDK. Maybe it's just a personal thing.

I don't think the patent covers barrels that are compatable with freak inserts. I could be wrong. The last time I read the patent I concluded it covered the insert itself. WWA makes freak compatable barrel backs, along with Doc's Machine.

So, why isn't a marq just as loud as a g6r?
Look into how suppressors work, you'll learn a lot about air flow and its effect on sound.

The way he said it sounded very sarcastic.

I don't appreciate being called stupid. There is a difference between being ignorant/wrong and being stupid.

If you have a problem with the way he is answering your questions, and it bothers you that much then don't check this thread and don't purchase his product. You are lucky he is even replying to this thread as much as he is. I think this has worked out very well so far for this new company.

marq is quieter because it doesn't have a heavy ram traveling at a high rate slamming a valve.

suppressor works by allowing gas to expand into a larger surface area than just the end of the barrel.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
