No, it is people like me who have followed Josh for years through his journey of design, refine, redesign, Polish and rethink, then start at the beginning again who are going to push this. I remember when Josh got his patent, and I remember what He said it cost him. With that kind of investment, with that kind of time put in and with his reputation, I'm willing to get excited. I could care less what DYE is putting out. The vapors, the demons, those were flashes in the pan. Josh has ties to the actual people who play the game, and that is incentive enough to make a good product. Will I but the first one off the line? nope I will borrow one, shoot it, strip it and make my own decision first. Bit I think I'm going to like it. Like Josh has said, if you don't like it, they didn't build it for you.

If you buy it, then realize you don't like it, you're out a good chunk of money.... and they apparently didn't build it for you.
Is there a way to tell if they DID build it for us? Like a way to test it for free? I only ask because expensive markers from new companies tend to have really awful resale value. I don't want to play with it for a week, realize it's meh, then have to sell it for 50% of what I paid.

Go to your local site, find someone with one and ask if you can try it out for a game?
I've spend thousands on markers in the last year trying to find 'the one'. 'tis what you do unless you can try out said marker

Pretty or ugly, I don't care! I want something that shoots amazing, efficient ,easy to maintain and does not break down at a reasonable price. Also if I do have a problem, I want tech support to be there!

Reliable is key to me, ease of maintenance is 2nd, and functionality Is 3rd I don't get a lot of changing weather conditions on the coast but I want to be able to pull it out of my bag and know it will work regardless of how long it sits.
I could care less if it looks like a block of aluminum like a 2k cocker as long as it has those 3 attributes.

The standard barrel is a two piece. There are multiple pricing points, and I would assume comes with a barrel kit. i do know that the highest price point comes with a deadlywind barrel though.

Quoting out of context only works if the person you are quoting doesn't reply. I haven't bought a new marker, ever. I haven't ever spent over 5 bills on a marker. I have three kids and demand that my pennies scream before I let go of them. This marker looks legit. The designer IS legit. I'm still going to test this marker like a fiend before I plop down the "under $2000" asking price. Let's be real and quit trying to kick sand. If you don't know that you either like or dislike a marker within a day of play, you need to be more critical of how you evaluate your gear.

You used the word incorrectly. Paper_Cut and I corrected you.
You still haven't mentioned what you would consider and actual innovation. Is this design derivative? Sure. Every markers design has been derivative since the first marking pistols for trees and livestock. Just refinements of the idea of propelling a gelatin ball with compressed gasses.

I don't know where you got your definition of aesthetic, password, but if you just google it, the first definition is:
aes·thet·ic
/esˈTHetik/
Adjective
Concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.
Noun
A set of principles underlying and guiding the work of a particular artist or artistic movement.
Synonyms
esthetic
But to get back on topic, i'm getting antsier each day we get closer to PBE. I just wanna see what the final milling/pricing will be.

That's the issue with new and low volume companies...not much of their stuff around to test. How about this, buy one second hand as an investment. The second seller takes much less of a hit than the first. MCB will buy it for MSRP when the company folds.

"test this marker like a fiend" apparently lasts only one day?
Did you mean to say "If you don't know that you either like or dislike a marker within a day of play, you need to be LESS critical of how you evaluate your gear."..? Less critical so your fiend-like testing only lasts a day?

My apologies if you didn't understand. Neither the aesthetics nor functional benefits of a quick to remove bolt are an innovation.
An innovation example? Eyes to prevent chopping. Would you consider the first spoolie with eyes to be an innovation?

The definition of words is always changing so it's best to start with their origins..aisthanomai, meaning "I perceive, feel, sense".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aesthetics
The modern take can be found in a reputable source like Merriam Webster:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/aesthetic
appreciative of, responsive to, or zealous about the beautiful; also : responsive to or appreciative of what is pleasurable to the senses
It's best not to use sources like freedictionary or urbandictionary for your compositions.
But you are correct, lets get back to the topic of its innovative aesthetics.
